Why not head out and discover some of the amazing art exhibitions in the Algarve today. Perhaps stop off in Alte at the Off The Wall Gallery in Rua da Igreja to view feltwork, mirrors and stained glass or see paintings by Liz Allen on display in Monchique at Ochálá Casa de Chá open from 9.30am until 7pm every week day.

Join the debate today and take part in a debate about climate change taking place today from 5.30pm at the Municipal Library in Tavira. The debate will be chaired by Lynne Booker and will see Clive Jackson, David Johnson, Martin Stroomer and Peter Discussing the motion “This house does not believe that human action has any significant impact on climate change”. Enjoy some traditional British humour with the latest pantomime from The Algarvians Experimental Theatre group this weekend. There will be performances of their latest production – Robinson Crusoe, taking place on February 21, 22 and 23 at 8pm with a matinee performance also being held on February 23 at 3pm. This is one for all the family and has become a favourite in the expat event calendar, one not to miss. This year the performance will be staged in Lagos with tickets costing €10 for adults and €5 for children. Get out and explore the beautiful countryside of the Algarve today with “Let’s Walk In The Algarve” walking group. Today the walk will be from Alcantarilha Gare through the orange groves and countryside of the local area, with no large climbs. Those interested in taking part need to wear suitable shoes and bring a drink with them for the two hour walk. Listen to live music from the Actemus Trio trio in a concert organised by the Algarve Historical Association. The concert tonight will be held in tavira at Quintinha da Música from 11.30am and will be a unique opportunity to hear the strings of this renowned trio in what will be a sereis of chamber music concerts organised by the association in the future.
