Monday, February 11
If you are looking to pick up some bargains then head down to the market in Algoz (Silves) today to see what is on offer. The local Portuguese markets sell everything from food to household goods and are not only a good place to find a deal but also the place where everyone catches up with what is going on in the area – a great place to find out lots of local information!
Tuesday, February 12
Today is the official carnival day in the Algarve and although there may have been parades at the weekend and it isn’t actually an official bank holiday anymore there are still plenty of events taking place today with the main carnival parade taking place in Loulé. Last year 600,000 people visited Loulé for carnival celebrations and as many are expected this year so make sure you get to the Avenida José da Costa Mealha street in the centre of the town for the parade that starts at 3pm. Entry costs €2 per person and there will be 17 floats following the theme of Troika. Expect music, madness and fun at this amazing annual highlight in the Algarve events calendar.
Wednesday, February 13
Learn more about keeping yourself and your property safe in the Algarve with a crime prevention and community safety seminar being held today at the museum in São Brás de Alportel. This will Ativan be a chance to learn a bout local crime patterns, about work being done by the GNR and the local Câmara and to be able to speak about the subject with local residents. Thursday, February 14
Look out for special Valentines meals, menus and events taking place today – head in to your local town to find out what is going on near you! In Carvoeiro there will be live music at Taste restaurant while there in the town there is also a Ladies night at Carvoeiro bar. Every town and city will have venues doing special deals so make sure to get down early to make sure you get your seta with a loved one tonight!

See some top class international football today as the womens under 16 teams from Scotland take on the Netherlands at the stadium in Guia from 1pm and then the women from Portugal play those from Austria at 4pm at the same stadium near Albufeira. Entry to the matches is free and this is a great way to see the rising stars of international womens football live in action. Saturday, February 16
Pick up bargain golf equipment at the Madrugada charity shop in Praia da Luz today. Equipment has been donated by various golf clubs in the Algarve and this is a perfect chance to pick up golfing equipment for very low prices while supporting a local association.
