Only a few short years ago people from the UK were flocking to the hots spots of Europe to live the dream, property developers could hardly keep up with the insatiable demand and properties were being snapped up as soon as they had been built.
That was before the world wide recession but how things have changed now. Many people who moved to Spain have seen their dreams turned into a nightmare but how has another extremely popular destination, Portugal fared, and are people experiencing similar problem to the ones that are being reported in Spain?

Recession Cutbacks, Are You Still Cutting Back In The Algarve
What are your thoughts on the economy in the Algarve. I must admit that I am getting some mixed messages with regards to the recession and whether people are still cutting back or if they think that things are getting back to normal.
I’ve got to be honest and from my experience it does not seem to be getting any better at all, if anything the economy is getting worse. You don’t have to tell me how lucky I am in that I have my own internet marketing business which basically seems to be pretty much unaffected by the current economy but many of my friends here on the Algarve really are struggling at the moment. It seems to be the same everywhere at the moment so it is not that the Algarve is worse than anywhere else but that is of little comfort when you are experiencing hard times.
